Unravel Healthcare Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity* on a mission to improve childbirth outcomes and restore trust in maternity care. We provide funding to under-resourced rural and critical access hospitals to implement TeamBirth—an evidence-based, human-centered model that improves patient experience and safety, aligns care teams and patients around shared goals, and reduces unnecessary C-sections.

Every $50,000 raised sponsors one rural hospital.

Please consider donating. Many hospitals across the U.S., particularly those in rural and underresourced

communities, struggle to implement evidence-based care practices due to limited funding

and capacity. Unravel Healthcare Alliance, Inc. has been organized to bridge this gap by

delivering the TeamBirth program free of charge or at a very low cost to these institutions.

*For the year 2025, Unravel Healthcare Alliance (UHA) is a fiscally sponsored project of Mission Edge San Diego, a registered charity with Tax ID 27-2938491, while we were waiting for our IRS 501(c)(3) approval. In 2026, UHA will start operating as an independent 501(c)(3) charity.
